If I have done anything contract to the principles

and policies of our President or if I have entertained any ambition to become an autocrat or to monopolize administrative

power; or if I have any tendency towards militarism, the mem-

bers of our Kuomintang can punish me with the most drastic

measures, and I should always be ready to take my own life.

If my previous history and present position are taken into consideration I can make bold to say frankly that nobody

can hinder me in my revolutionary work by spreading malicious

rumours or groundless libels, by creating an atmosphere

prejudicial to our revolution or by slandering me as an

autocrat or another militarist. I only know that I am

working for the Revolution, and I shall act against any-

answer definitely that militarists are created by Imperial- ists. Only military men who have Imperialists behind them

can
